“my concerns are two fold - firstly the location of this site is very close to the Great River Ouse and although it is stated that this will be inert land fill I have issues around contaminants leaking into the water. secondly there is no mention about the access to this site for HGV traffic. There is already far too many HGV vehicles on the A603 and this scheme will only add to it. That has safety, noise and general degredation effects for Willington.”

Nature Of Response: Observations
Response
“Could be acceptable providing vehicular access is via by-passed A421.

Should be sympathetic to aims of adjoining River Valley Park in terms of landscape enhancement and improvement, with particular reference to wildlife habitat and public access.

Impact on nearby 'Danish Camp' riverside visitor centre should be minimised in terms of noise/dust and visual amenity.”
Summary
“Opportunity for landscape and rights of way enhancement, subject to minimising disturbance to local residents and businesses.”

Nature Of Response: Support with conditions
Response
“I would be interested to know what materials can be dumped here. It is all to easy to assume that they will be soil suitable for agriculture but I would like this clarified. Additionally, there is a great deal of traffic on the A603 - I would like to know if the number of vehicles would increase over existing usage for the purpose of infill. If so then there would need to be controls in place. I would also like to see some form of time control over such infill. This is in terms of the overall project period but also the start and finish time of daily works.”
