The agricultural significance in the development of a typical small village in part of the County can be seen in a display entitled ’Food and Farming’, using photographs and artefacts from the Local History Group archive, as part of an Open Afternoon at the National Trust Dovecote and Stables in Willington on Sunday 31st August from 1pm to 5pm.

There will also be a chance to explore these fascinating Tudor buildings, see the Willington Timeline, purchase items from the National Trust ‘Mini-Shop’, and view the inside of St Lawrence Church where tea and cakes will be on offer.

Admission is free, but donations to the National Trust welcome.
